Appointment Policies
Our office schedules each patient for the appropriate amount of time needed for his/her individual dental needs. For children under 6 years, we ask that you schedule a morning appointment. Younger children do better in the morning when they are well rested. Late afternoon appointments during the school year are very popular and sometimes it is necessary to have dental care during school hours. If required we can provide a note for your child to explain school absence. Routine dental care including check- ups and fluoride treatments can keep missing school to a minimum.
Your scheduled time has been reserved specifically for your child and we request 2 business days notice if you need to change or cancel an appointment. Rescheduling appointments can only be done live with our reception team. We do not accept email, text or phone message cancellations. Broken appointments can be costly and unfair to other patients in need of dental care. When proper notice is not given you will be asked to prepay the estimated cost of your missed visit. If you are on a government assisted dental program you will forfeit your $100.00 surety deposit. This deposit will be donated to organizations that provide dental care for needy uninsured patients. Repeated broken appointments may be cause for dismissal from out practice.
As a courtesy we attempt to remind you 2 days in advance of your appointments. We will try to email and text you the time of your appointments. A link in this reminder allows you to confirm the appointment on line. If we do not hear from you we will attempt to reach you by phone. However, it is your responsibility to note each appointment and arrive at the scheduled time.
We make every attempt to remain on schedule. We value your time and will do our best to see your child at his or her appointed time. Remember that each child is an individual and some children may need us to spend a little extra time to make them comfortable. We ask for your patience if this puts us a little behind schedule. Please know that if your child needs extra attention, you can be assured he or she will receive it.
Late arrivals cause schedule delays for those patients who arrive on time for their appointments. We will make every effort to fit a late arrival into our schedule; however, we reserve the right to reschedule if we are unable to see them.
